Extruded nets are made of expanded polyethylene and can be used with both vertical and horizontal packaging machines, as well as manually. For manual application, pre-cut net pieces with sealed bottoms are available for ease of use.
They are available in various types depending on the number of eyes per perimeter, their diameter, and their weight per running meter.
The most common types are used for automatic packaging machines in plastic cups and for packaging garlic heads.
Additionally, a special net for cultivation (submerged) and packaging of mussels is available. Mussel cultivation nets come in various diameters, which follow the growth of the mussel colony.
Extruded nets are also used for multipackaging (bundle packs) of various products such as chips, croissants, liquid detergents, and cleaners, for packaging toys, beverage bottles, and for protection. They can be placed around components (e.g., spare parts, furniture parts, etc.) and products to protect them from scratches, damages, and wear during transportation and storage. Moreover, they can be used to cover and protect cargo boxes and pallets during transportation, as well as an additional layer in product packaging to protect against moisture and dust.
